This year we have a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse LTZ FWD with 121,000 miles and it was rebuilt by our Auto Service II and Collision Repair Program students. The vehicle boasts updates including Goodyear tires, battery, brakes, fluids, along with a complete vehicle inspection that has passed with flying colors. The body has undergone some cosmetic repairs to the left front from a minor collision that was not structural in nature along with paint correction and buffing to make this car shine like new. A new headlamp system was installed during the body repair. The vehicle also had an airbag system fault which has been repaired. The interior was fully detailed, and the seats and carpet were shampooed for a new car smell. This car is fully loaded, including keyless entry, remote start, heated seats, panoramic moonroof, Bluetooth, and much more. This project has been supported by many local business and industry partners. A portion of the proceeds will go to support a local charity supporting our county's students and their families. The remainder of the proceeds will fund our tool scholarship fund for our students. Last year, we raised $13,950. Six students were awarded $5,000 worth of tool kits each to start their path in the automotive industry.
