The Lake County High Schools Technology Campus’s School of Visual Arts held its annual gallery night on April 30, 2013. High school juniors and seniors from participating member schools showed off their creative and artistic abilities, demonstrating exceptional talent in the fields of Graphic Design, Media, and Digital Photography.
Open to the public, this event brought hundreds through the front doors of the Technology Campus to view the displays the students created. Graphic/Web Design students demonstrated their work in advertising design, media design, and hand drawn compositions; on creative and uniquely designed tri-fold boards. Photographic Design students showcased a series of sixteen or more photographic images. The topics ranged from domestic violence, self-expression, health, to the environment.
Awards were presented to the following students:

- KarlyEllis: Best in Show for Photographic Design –

- Taylor Harvey: Board/Concept Creativity – winner of a 2 week summer studio workshop presented by Lisa Deluca of the American Academy of Art
- Shelby Nelson: Best Photo Story and Impact –winner of a 2 week summer studio workshop presented by Lisa Deluca of the American Academy of Art
- Craig Heppner: Best Advertising Design Concept – $100 in college scholarship and Blick art supplies
- Zach Beyer: Best Hand Drawn Artwork – $100 in college scholarship and Blick art supplies
- Tessa Deering: Best Photo Series and Creative Ability – $100 in college scholarship and Blick art supplies
- Marina Macias: Best Artistic Vision and Technical Ability– $100 in college scholarship and Blick art supplies
Carlos Cardenas said "the gallery night was a lot of fun. I am glad my Graphic/Web Design class was able to prep me for the event." This night demonstrated some of the talent achieved by students involved in the various programs at the Technology Campus. It was a night to remember for students, creating an everlasting memory of their time at Tech Campus, before they graduate.
